In 1984, Ernie Mueller envisioned drug addicts sliding helplessly into hell. In time, God placed a desire in Ernie's heart to help others experience the same lasting freedom that God had brought to him. This desire has grown into a vision to see an army of ex-prisoners and ex-street people healed, equipped and released into lay ministry to others with similar needs. Years later, God impressed Ernie to write this vision down and share this same vision with Churches and with those who may desire to work with Set Free Ministries.

WE NEED YOUR HELP "...a man...pleaded with him, "Come...and help us." (Acts 16:9) God is going to raise up an army of ex-prisoners and ex-street people to be working with Set Free Ministries. When trained, some will stay while others will move on and start Ministries of their own. God is going to raise up a number of recovery houses under Set Free Ministries. These will be mostly staffed by submitted and committed "FREE" ex-prisoners and ex-street people. Set Free Ministries needs your help! There is a tremendous spiritual and social need among drug addicts, alcoholics, habitual criminals and street people. Though Set Free Ministries is helping many to find a relationship with Jesus Christ, and teaching them to live a new life, the need is far greater than we can meet alone. Many people have a desire to help those needy people, but few know how. Ernie Mueller not only has the desire, but also but also has been uniquely equipped to do so, by having successfully left that same lifestyle 25 years ago.
